Deer of the Week
Week I is our muzzleloader week. Mark took the top deer of the week on the morning of day 3. We only bring in a couple of hunters during this early week to ensure the deer population remains strong through the entire fall hunt season.
We have seen lots of young bucks with next year potential. As we move into November we are seeing more of the mature bucks beginning to show up at the baits. As the warm weather begins to cool we will see activity at the baits increasing.
We were still seeing bears on the trail cams at some stands which is a testament to the warm weather conditions. We have even had a few other visitors at the stands, see the Elk and Moose below.
Wolf numbers appear to be low although we did have 2 do a walk-by at one of the stands last week.
